Dear MXI Corp Distributors Who Are Considering Rank Advancement:

As an owner of MXI Corp, I can personally tell you that advancing in rank is an integral part of our business model; we definitely want you to rank advance!  In fact, as owners we believe in your potential and plan on you rank advancing often!  We want you to rank advance because we understand how important it is to have strong leadership in a Network Marketing company; good leadership means a successful business.  Highly effective field leadership is the key to navigating our business moving forward day-by-day, month-by-month and year-by-year.  Part of the rank advancement process involves sacrifice and some pain.  We push ourselves so we can progress and grow stronger.  The stretch that occurs is a positive thing.  MXI Corp cannot thrive without your leadership and without you rank advancing.  Obviously, we want to spend time with you on Cruises since we have two a year.  We also want to see you in those new, black Mercedes Benz!  It is very fulfilling to us as owners to set parameters for certain incentives and then watch you achieve them with your dedicated efforts; you are a valuable person to us!  Nothing is more rewarding than setting a difficult goal and working at it until you reach it.

As a distributor, you most likely want to rank advance because of the potential to significantly boost your monthly income.  Advancing in rank opens up new and different facets of the MXI Corp compensation plan which in turn means more income for you.  Money does talk and increasing one’s wealth is one of the main goals for most distributors, right?  At the same time, money clearly is not everything in life.  However, money does empower you to do more good for yourself, your family and friends and the your community.  That is why MXI Corp wants to help you to find significance in your life and we are not scared to say that part of that process includes you increasing your financial resources.  More important still is the impact of rank advancement on your self-esteem.  The feeling that all your sacrifice and work is recognized and rewarded is priceless.  Lastly, advancing in rank demonstrates to your team and others what is humanly possible.  Others are watching you and we all depend upon one another.  This is a team sport.

Network Marketing is very, very, very different than traditional business in one important way:  In Network Marketing, you are enabled to promote yourself; you’re in complete control of your future income, status and direction.  Rank advancement in Network Marketing is like getting a raise in a traditional business.  However, in traditional business, well, there are politics, unforeseen barriers and even personalities which can prevent you from receiving a promotion.  Which do you prefer:  being in control of your future or surrendering that to someone else?

Conversely, Network Marketing and transitional business are similar in that promotions are an employee’s reward for good performance.  Before a company promotes an employee to a particular position in a traditional business it ensures that the person is able to handle the added responsibilities by screening the employee with interviews and tests and giving them training or on-the-job experience.  In Network Marketing, you go through that same process with your team, but then again, you are in complete control of that process.  A promotion in both traditional business and in Network Marketing involve advancement in terms of salary, benefits, responsibilities and the type of job activities of you do every day.

As you know, I’m a big fan of the Scouting program.  Let me give you a quick overview of why Scouting works so well.  This analogy will also help you understand why rank advancing in MXI Corp is equally as important.  Scouting provides a series of surmountable obstacles and the steps needed to follow in order to overcome those obstacles through a detailed advancement method.  Every Boy Scout plans his advancement and progresses at his own pace as he meets each individual challenge head on.  A Scout is rewarded for each achievement and each step forward helps him gain self-confidence.  The clearly outlined steps to take in the advancement system additionally help a Scout grow in self-reliance and in the ability to help others.

Every rank in Scouting is reached by identifying key steps, taking appropriate actions and following through until the goal is reached.  These requirements given to each Scout are ability-appropriate activities that help grow and mold the Scout into a self-sufficient, confident, able person.  Many Scouts (and adult leaders) often are so busy planning and working on their achievement goals that they sometimes don’t notice “the whole Scout Trail” (meaning, they don’t necessarily see the end).  Actually, this is fine because the entire trail (or map) is laid out for them in good detail and they should be concentrating on the most immediate activities at hand (meaning, the need to focus on the present).  There is one potential problem however, and this occurs when a scout leader does not see the value in a certain activity and then decides to lower the requirements on that activity – all that does is cheat the Scout later down the trail.

Now, let’s look at how that Scouting example applies directly to being a MXI Corp distributor.  Distributors depend on clarity.  Distributors require a clearly defined set of rules that tell them what they have to do to be paid each week and what else is required to increase their pay.  Concurrently, Distributors depend on clarity for rank advancement.  Distributors need to know what they have to do in order to advance in rank.  Basically, a company builds its qualification rules to set the distributors on the path the company wants them to follow, and then puts in a system of commissions that reward them for following that path; it makes complete sense, correct?  MXI Corp believes in this same process.
